The radar module allows for precise distance measurement, detection of the direction of movement and measurement of the speed of a moving object. It uses the physical phenomenon of the Doppler effect, analyzing the frequencies of waves generated and received by the device. The board has an interface for connecting a programmer, thanks to which advanced users can adjust the operation of the radar to their own needs. Doppler radar works by sending a beam of electromagnetic radiation waves from the transmitter (TX antenna) with a precise frequency to a moving object. When a wave of electromagnetic radiation contacts an object, it returns towards the receiver (RX antenna). When the wave has been reflected from a moving object, it now has a different frequency compared to the original one it emitted. The change in this frequency can be used to calculate the speed of a moving object.

The Espressif ESP32-C3 WiFi module board has 4 MB of Flash memory, 400 kB of SRAM memory and an integrated 2.4 GHz and BLE WiFi transceiver. The board has a USB Type-C connector for power supply and programming and a u.FL connector for connecting an external antenna (included). A 3.3 V voltage stabilizer with a capacity of 200 mA and a 50mA/100mA charging system are responsible for the proper power supply of the system. On 11 GPIO pins, the user has analog inputs, PWM, I2C, UART, SPI and I2S interface at their disposal. It can also be programmed using Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF or MicroPython.

The kit is an ideal solution for projects in the field of intelligent home automation, intrusion detection and monitoring the well-being of the elderly. It can be used in projects related to security systems, and its operation is not affected by unfavorable factors such as high temperature, rain and accumulating dust. Full documentation of the module along with examples of use is available on the product page.
