Graphic displays create two groups of products: modules with and without a built-in character generator. The latter type gives a lot of freedom in the form of displaying information, however, it is associated with relatively long service times and the need to use a microcontroller with multiple pins. The solution to this problem is the system which is an independent controller of the LCD display. It uses an additional 32 KB EEPROM memory, in which you can save up to 32 pre-prepared graphics. Connection with cooperating devices is possible in several ways. The controller has a serial RS232 connection, I2C and SPI bus. The system allows generating characters in two sizes, additionally has the function of drawing lines, fields (filled or empty) and circles.
