everse voltage protection module operating in the 4–75 V range and up to 17 A, based on a MOSFET with very low Rds(on). Does not block reverse current. Designed for higher-current power systems, including battery-powered and motor-drive applications. Pololu 5359
The Pololu 5359 module protects the connected load against reverse voltage down to -75 V (80 V absolute maximum). The design is based on a MOSFET with low on-resistance, which reduces voltage drop and limits power dissipation in the supply path at higher currents.
The operating voltage range is 4–75 V. The maximum continuous current reaches 17 A, enabling use in higher-power systems such as DC motor controllers, mobile robotics platforms, DC/DC converter supply lines, and 12 V or 24 V installations. Low Rds(on) contributes to high energy efficiency and reduced heating under load.
The module does not block reverse current. The solution supports applications where energy can flow back to the power source, for example in battery-powered motor systems with regenerative braking. In case of reverse voltage connection, the MOSFET disconnects the load, preventing damage.
Compact PCB dimensions simplify integration in embedded designs, battery-powered systems, and industrial applications requiring reverse polarity protection in higher-current power paths.
Connections Optional footprint for TVS diode installation.

The module protects the load against reverse polarity to -60 V and blocks the flow of reverse current to the power supply. It uses the LM74700-Q1 ideal diode controller and a MOSFET transistor. Thanks to its low impedance (1.5 mΩ), it supports currents up to 25 A continuous and 50 A transient, providing reliable protection and the possibility of easy assembly. Pololu 5389
