Designed for BLDC motor drives, electric vehicles, robots and battery-powered equipment. Makerbase MKS AntiSpark Switch V2
The Makerbase MKS AntiSpark Switch V2 electronic power switch is designed for switching high-current DC circuits on and off. The circuit uses MOSFET transistors and an AntiSpark function to reduce sparking when powering devices equipped with input capacitors. Reducing electrical arcing helps protect power connector contacts against damage and oxidation. The switch can be used in electric skateboards, electric bicycles and scooters, mobile robots and battery-powered drive systems equipped with BLDC motor controllers.
The MKS AntiSpark Switch V2 supports a continuous current of up to 150 A and a manufacturer-specified maximum current of 300 A. The maximum input voltage is 90 V DC, corresponding to battery configurations of up to 20S, while the manufacturer recommends 80 V DC as the upper safe operating voltage limit. These specifications should be considered when selecting the battery, motor controller and electrical protection devices. Version V2 supports higher voltage and current ratings than the previous MKS AntiSpark Switch V1.

The switching stage uses four HYG015N10NS1TA MOSFET transistors. The circuit is built on an aluminum-substrate PCB, which helps dissipate heat generated during high-current operation. The design also incorporates 2 mm thick tin-plated T2 copper strips in the current path. The aluminum substrate and conductive components support operation under heavy electrical loads. Actual operating conditions depend on ambient temperature, mounting arrangement and electrical load.
Power switching is controlled by a mechanical latching push button with LED illumination and a diameter of 12 mm. Pressing the button turns on the power output and illuminates the LED indicator. Pressing it again disconnects the circuit and turns off the illumination. The button is connected to the module by a separate control cable, allowing installation in an accessible location on the device enclosure, independently of the main power module.
The switch features factory-installed power cables on the input (IN) and output (OUT) sides. The module is installed in series between the battery and the electrical load, following the polarity and connection direction markings. The enclosure measures 68 x 34 x 9.5 mm and includes mounting holes for securing the module. Before installation, disconnect the battery, verify cable polarity and provide overcurrent protection appropriate for the electrical system. The AntiSpark switch does not replace a fuse or a battery management system (BMS).
Module with a 5x20 mm fuse with a working voltage up to 250 VAC and a current of 500 mA. A kit for self-assembly. SparkFun KIT-15702
