OAK-D LR is an advanced AI camera, offering computational power of 4 TOPS and the ability to run any artificial intelligence (AI) models. It is designed to provide accurate depth perception at both short and long ranges, utilizing three pairs of stereo cameras with different baseline distances: 5 cm, 10 cm, and 15 cm. Additionally, users can easily swap M12 lenses, which influences the minimum and maximum distance for stereo depth perception. With very narrow field-of-view lenses, it is possible to achieve depth perception at distances exceeding 100 meters. The design of OAK-D LR is based on OAK-SoM-Pro modules, enabling a compact structure. This makes the camera easier to mount and integrate into various robotic processes. The camera's design is also open-source, allowing for modifications according to individual user needs.
The camera supports video encoding in H.264, H.265, and MJPEG formats, with recording capabilities in 4K/30 FPS or 1080P/60 FPS. It features advanced computer vision functions such as distortion correction, resizing, cropping, edge detection, feature tracking, and object tracking in 2D and 3D. Furthermore, the camera offers advanced post-processing configuration for depth perception and alignment of the RGB image with the depth data. For communication and power, the camera uses a USB Type-C port (compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen2, 5Gbps/10Gbps) or PoE (Power-over-Ethernet), which is fully compliant with 802.3af and Class 3, offering speeds up to 1 Gbps. To power the device via PoE, a suitable PoE adapter or switch is required.
Attention!
A PoE switch/adapter is required to power the device, which is not included in the package.The camera's power consumption primarily depends on the load on the RVC2 processor, with full utilization of all functions resulting in power usage of up to 5.5 W. Reducing the frame rate throughout the process can lower power consumption. The OAK-D LR camera is equipped with an integrated IMU BNO085 module, a 9-axis inertial sensor enabling precise motion monitoring. The camera’s housing meets IP65 standards, making it dust and splash-resistant, ideal for use in tough industrial and outdoor environments. The set also includes a protective cover to shield cables from splashes. Thanks to its broad modification capabilities and versatility, the OAK-D LR is an ideal solution for a wide range of applications, from robotics to advanced monitoring and image processing systems.
