IR thermal imaging camera module 80x62 90° - Waveshare 31941

Description

The Waveshare 31941 thermal imaging camera module is designed for non-contact temperature distribution imaging in industrial, security, automation and monitoring applications. The device uses a hybrid microbolometer and thermopile pixel technology, enabling accurate temperature measurement combined with stable continuous operation.

The infrared sensor array with a resolution of 80 x 62 pixels operates in the long-wave infrared range of 8 um ~ 14 um, allowing temperature visualization independent of ambient lighting conditions. A shutterless design enables continuous thermal video streaming with a refresh rate of up to 25 FPS, while factory calibration of each pixel improves measurement uniformity and reliability.

The wide-angle version is equipped with a 90° field of view lens, making it suitable for monitoring larger areas. The module communicates via SPI and I2C interfaces and can be used with Raspberry Pi boards as well as other development platforms. Typical applications include motion detection, thermal trend analysis, temperature monitoring, security systems and smart building or healthcare solutions.
