AVT2921 A

Plasma speakers, unlike ordinary speakers, do not have a membrane that produces acoustic waves. In this case, the function of the diaphragm is fully electric arc, modulated by an electric signal supplied from an external source.

The device is powered from a stabilized power supply with a 20V output voltage and a capacity of approximately 5A. The heart of the device is a well-known system used in pulse converter TL494 (U2), working in a typical configuration included in the catalog note. Note : the system generates high voltage which, despite high frequency and skin effect, can be dangerous. For this reason, when building both these and other HV devices, special care should be taken.
