Description
Color LCD with resolution 160x128 pixels with backlight with programmable intensity. The display is equipped with a resistive touch panel. The display has a non-standard controller that accepts serial commands via the I2C and UART interfaces, and an SPI to receive unprocessed data. When sending encoded ASCII and UTF-8 characters to the display, it acts as a simple terminal and prints these characters directly on the screen using the current font and color setting. The new lines are handled appropriately along with several basic ANSI escape codes, allowing the display to display REP (MicroPython REPL) (or any other such serial output).
There is a set of special control commands (also sent by I2C and UART) that allow you to perform many operations on the screen, such as drawing basic shapes, setting colors and fonts, downloading JPEG images and obtaining the current status of the touch screen. The SPI display interface can be used to send raw data to pixels at a maximum rate of 30 frames per second.
