In high-end audio devices, optical fiber is a popular way to transfer digital data. Unfortunately, in the case of this solution, the connection of components is possible at a distance not exceeding 10 m (this is due to the limitations of audio equipment). Sometimes, however, it is necessary to send a signal over a longer distance (eg from a computer in one room to an audio set in the other). The connection with a regular shielded cable will not provide sufficient sound quality. The solution is a fiber optic supplemented with an additional regenerator ( AVT514R ) and a coaxial / fiber optic converter ( AVT514CO ).
The AVT514OC converter converts the optical signal into a coaxial cable.
The device is especially recommended for audiophiles with extensive audio sets
