The sound generators for locomotives are expensive. They reach prices around 500 zlotys. Such a generator plays files most often recorded from nature and stored in flash memory. The memories in the generators have a capacity of 4 ... 32Mb. We offer a much simpler solution based on synthesized sounds. The advantage of such a solution is its very low price. Of course, the system proposed by us is equipped with a communication module with a DCC encoder, thanks to which the synthesized sound is very realistic and changes with the speed of the locomotive.

Basic parameters:

  • one-sided printed circuit board with dimensions of 39 × 13 mm
  • PIC16F628A microcontroller
  • 8 ... 30 VAC / DC power supply
  • cooperation with a DCC encoder (sound generated depending on the speed of the locomotive)
  • sounds synthesized based on parameters
  • possibility of lighting control or implementation of other additional functions in the locomotive model

The set includes a printed circuit board, a set of elements and documentation.
