The device has an auxiliary function and it comes down to silencing the signal from the instrument when it is not played. It is an indispensable complement to the acoustic track, in which there are distortions that distort the signal. The noise gate protects against such a situation. Its principle of operation is very simple - dropping the input signal below the set threshold results in cutting off the audio signal at the output of the device.
