The system is an alternative to a linear stabilizer requiring the installation of a heat sink. Due to the presence of power transistors in the integrated circuit, the complete stabilizer consists of three elements: an integrated circuit, a diode and a coil. The small PCB is designed to replace the typical type 7805 stabilizer.

The device is recommended for powering small digital digital systems
