Once, to make the object look good and meet the standards, the machinist had to deal with the material. In manual production, without the use of machines, each manufactured object was in a sense different. Today, computer controlled machines are used for processing. These machines are called CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) in short. Controlling via a computer and the appropriate application allows for fast and precise material processing. Another advantage of this type of machining is the high repeatability of the manufactured objects. The controller has been designed in such a way that it can be supervised by a program called Mach3. Its demo version can be downloaded from: www.machsupport.com The program communicates with the machine via the LPT port which can be a drawback, because this connector is replaced by USB. On the other hand, Mach3 has minimal hardware requirements so that you can use a computer from a few years ago to control the milling machine, which you can buy for a small amount or even receive from computer scrap. This justifies that buying a modern, expensive PC for use in a dusty workshop does not make much sense.
Recommendations: CNC milling machine will be useful for modelers and DIY enthusiasts, it will also be an interesting addition to the electronics or electronic service workshop.
