Description

Xamelo 100 Mainboard - the base unit for hardware integration solutions. The device is a industrial communication computer, designed to control connected devices and report their status via WAN/LAN and GSM channels. Thanks to extension modules it can be adapted to the special requirements of the customer. This device acts as an intelligent router with a number of hardware inputs and outputs whose functions depend on the software installed. This software can be created by the Xamelo 100 manufacturer (www.next.biz.pl) or can be developed by the user.

The unit has open architecture that allows you to conveniently expand it with further communication ports via extension modules connected via GPiO rail or LAN.

Xamelo 100 meets all safety and CE emissions standards, confirmed by tests carried out in the Institute of Communication.

Equipping the device with the Windows CE 6.0 or Linux operating systems simplifies and accelerates the creation of dedicated software for various applications. Use of an operating system frees the programmer from the preparation of low-level functions related to hardware support.

Besides creating dedicated software, the Xamelo 100 manufacturer is also able to modify the device for the individual needs of the customer.

Hardware specifications:

The Xamelo 100 main module is a miniature single board computer, equipped with a powerful ARM9 processor, 64MB RAM memory and 512MB NAND Flash memory.

The computer has the following communication interfaces:

• 1 x USB 2.0 host socket
• 1 x USB 2.0 device socket
• 3 x RS232 socket
• 1 x RS485 socket
• 1 x WAN 10/100Mbps
• 4 x LAN 10/100Mbps
• 4 NO/NC inputs
• 1 OC output
• GPIO/I2C rail for additional extension modules

The main module can work with extension modules (eg Security Interface One (SIO) Extension Module via GPiO rail or LAN.
The Xamelo 100 device is also equipped with an SD card slot and a GSM modem with SIM card slot, with the ability to connect a microphone and speaker.

The computer works with:

• Board Support Package (BSP) from Adeneo Embedded®, Copyright 2009 Adeneo. All Rights Reserved, which includes the operating system Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 and BIOS
• Linux Angstorm Distribution, Kernel: 2.6.30
