Thunderous engineer's guide. Welding is a unique, comprehensive and comprehensive compendium of knowledge. The Welding Institute in Gliwice played a decisive role in the creation of this work, a center that for many years has been the center of Polish welding, bringing together a team of experienced specialists from all fields of welding. The core of the authors' team are selected scientific and research staff of the Institute. Known experts in selected fields of welding, research and teaching staff of national technical universities were also invited to cooperate.

Volume 1 contains basic and general issues of welding: theoretical foundations of welding, classification and characteristics of welding and related processes, review of construction materials and additional materials used in the manufacture of welded products and constructions, principles of calculation, design and control of welded joints. The issues of welding production organization, quality assurance, classification and certification, economics, safety and computer technology in welding are also discussed here. The volume also contains an extensive list of national and foreign welding regulations.
