Description
Raspberry Pi GSM Add-on V2.0 is a module that extends the capabilities of Raspberry Pi for communication via GSM / GPRS cellular networks. For this purpose SIM800 SIM800 was used, thanks to it it is possible to make and receive calls (it is possible to connect a microphone and headphones - jack sockets), send and receive SMS messages, use wireless internet. The module is controlled by AT commands via the UART of the Raspberry Pi computer (9600 bps by default).
LED indicators
- PWR - signals the power connection
- 8STATUS - the status LED of the SIM800 system keeps on working during operation
- NET - status of the cellular network:
- LED off - SIM800 switched off
- the LED flashes (64ms on, 800ms off) - no network
- the LED flashes (64ms on, 3000ms off) - within the network range
- the LED flashes (64ms on, 300ms off) - GPRS communication
buttons
- PWRKEY - the SIM800 switch, switching on / off takes place after holding down the button for about a second.
- RST - SIM800 system reset button
