Description
X-NUCLEO-USBPDM1 is an expansion board designed for applications using USB Type-C. It is equipped with a USB Type-C connector and TCPP01-M12 chip which is USB ESD protection. The set has a built-in 3.3 V LDO system, thanks to which the STM32 Nucleo board can be powered directly from the USB connector. The module is a complete solution that allows the implementation of applications based on USB Type-C.
X-NUCLEO-USBPDM1 can work with STM32 Nucleo kits. The board is compatible with STM32 Nucleo and Arduino UNO R3 connectors.

- USB Type-C reversible connector
- 6 V overvoltage protection (OVP) on CC lines against short-to-VBUS when the connector is unplugged
- Up to 22 V adjustable overvoltage protection (OVP) on VBUS line against charger failure
- Surge protection and system-level ESD protection on VBUS
- Common-mode filter and ESD protection on USB 2.0 High Speed data-lines
- System-level ESD protection on CC lines as per IEC61000-4-2 level 4 (±8 kV contact discharge)
- Low power mode for battery operation allows zero current consumption when no cable is attached
- Integrated dead battery management for fully depleted battery devices
- Overtemperature protection (OTP)
- Compliant with the latest USB Type-C and USB power delivery standards
- Compliant with programmable power supply (PPS)
- Compatible with STM32 Nucleo boards
- Compatible with Arduino UNO R3 connectors
- Free comprehensive firmware library and sample implementation available for NUCLEO-G071RB and NUCLEO-G474RE
