Description

The Banana Pi BPI-EAI 80 is an evaluation kit with the Edgeless EAI80 chip that combines the ARM-Cortex M4F dual-core CPU and the AI-NPU. One ARM Cortex-M4 processor is used as the main processor, the other ARM Cortex-M4 core can be used as a coprocessor to offload ARM Cortex-M4 and perform complex mathematical calculations. NPU (neural processing unit) is a processor designed to work with artificial intelligence, which is integrated with EAI and can support image detection and recognition using deep learning methods with low power consumption. The Edgeless EAI80 chip is well equipped with peripherals and has numerous integrated hardware safeguards. It was created with IoT applications for smart home, industry and education in mind.

The board is equipped with SPI memory, camera and display connector, CANBUS connector and ESP8266 WiFi module. Additionally, a 40-pin GPIO connector and two microphones, a Li-Ion battery connector and a USB Type C connector were introduced.
