Description

An expansion board (HAT) with a Sipeed module designed to run artificial intelligence (AIoT) in cooperation with a Raspberry Pi. It provides high performance with low physical load and power, enabling the implementation of precise artificial intelligence. Sipeed MAix is not only a device, but also a comprehensive hardware and software infrastructure that facilitates the implementation of solutions based on artificial intelligence.

MAix M1 is a module with a RISC-V Dual Core 64bit chip clocked at 600 MHz, which includes 230GMULps 16-bit KPU (neural network processor), FPU (floating point unit) supports DP and SP, and APU (audio processor) supports 8 microphones. The module allows you to operate the display and camera and has Grove connectors with I2C, UART, SPI, I2S interfaces, as well as PWM signals and GPIO outputs. There is an accelerometer and a microphone on the board.

MAIX supports the original C/C++ based standalone SDK, FreeRTOS SDK. Has support in the form of service at Micropython. In addition, based on kendryte-standalone-sdk, the manufacturer has added a full ArduinoCore-API interface to support the Arduino IDE, Linux, Windows, Mac OS X and other development environments. This means you can easily run Grove Arduino libraries. Full documentation is available on the product Wiki page.

MAIX can be used for many industrial applications such as predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, machine vision, robotics, voice recognition and many more. It can be used in manufacturing, factories, healthcare, retail and transportation.
