Description

The long-awaited Raspberry Pi 4 model B with the Broadcom BCM2711 SoC (4 x Cortex-A72) SoC running at 1.5GHz clock rate, 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM (also available with  2 GB ) and the Broadcom graphics chip VideoCore VI.

The computer has a built-in wireless module with Wi-Fi interfaces (IEEE 802.11b / g / n / ac 2.4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 / BLE. In addition, the board has 2 USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports, a 40-pin GPIO connector (identical to previous computer), 2 microHDMI ports for connecting screens, Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45 socket), DSI connector (for display connection) , CSI connector (for camera connection), microSD card slot and 4 mounting holes.

The Raspberry Pi 4 model B uses a type C USB port as a power supply port. The manufacturer recommends a 5 V power supply and a current capacity of min. 3 A. Our offer includes a dedicated Raspberry power supply ( 5V / 3A USB-C to Raspberry Pi 4 black or white ). Raspberry can also be fed through GPIO (5V @ 3A) or PoE ports.

The offer also includes the official housing for Raspberry Pi 4 model B (white and raspberry) .

What's new in Raspberry Pi 4?

Compared to its predecessor Raspberry Pi 3, the B + model , the SoC system was made in 28 nm technology (40 nm in previous computers). Includes four ARM Cortex-A72 cores built into it that can work at 1.5 GHz. The changes have also occurred in the type and amount of RAM. The basic model has 1 GB RAM type LPDDR4 SDRAM, but adapting its offer to the voice of the community raspberry is also available in options with 2 GB or 4 GB of memory.

The new Broadcom VideoCore VI layout supports H.265 (4K @ 60FPS), H.264 (1080p @ 60FPS and 1080p @ 30FPS) codecs and the OpenGL ES 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 library, making it possible to generate 4K (3840) × 2160) up to 60 frames per second (in the case of a single monitor connected, in the case of two monitors it is possible only 30 frames per second in 4K resolution).

Changes also occurred in the connection configuration. The computer has been equipped with 2 USB 2.0 ports and 2 USB 3.0 ports. Instead of full-size HDMI, two HDMI micro ports have been installed (there is an official microHDMI cable - HDMI for Raspberry Pi (white) ) that allow you to display the image in 4K and connect two screens at the same time. The computer was also equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port at full speed of 1 Gb / s (in previous generations Ethernet used the USB 2.0 interface, which caused that its speed was limited).
