Terasic Spider is a six-legged robot with six limbs moved by 3 servos each (18 servos in total). The servos are controlled by PWM signals generated from the Altera DE0-Nano-SoC board embedded inside the Terasic Spider robot. The robot can be remotely controlled by an Android device with a Bluetooth module. The application allows you to move the robot in four directions, tilt based on the tilt sensor and perform predefined movements.
Software source code for the FPGA chip, ARM processor and Android applications has been fully made available to users, thanks to which the robot can be developed and modified. The servo controller board has an additional 2x20 pin connector, so that we can connect additional sensors to the robot, such as distances or cameras.
