Description

Industrial converter designed for bidirectional data transmission between an RS485 bus and an Ethernet network. The device enables integration of PLC controllers, telemetry equipment, measurement systems, building automation systems, and industrial devices using RS485 communication with Ethernet-based network infrastructure. Communication is provided through a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 interface with support for TCP and UDP protocols.

The RS485 interface features full 1 kV galvanic isolation, surge protection, and a configurable 120 Ω termination resistor. The device supports half-duplex communication at speeds ranging from 200 bps to 1 Mbps and allows connection of up to 64 devices on a single RS485 bus. An integrated data conversion mechanism enables transparent transmission of RS485 frames over Ethernet, including fragmentation support for larger data packets.

The converter is equipped with a USB-C port used for power supply, real-time diagnostics, and firmware updates. Configuration is performed through a password-protected web interface that allows network parameter setup, operating mode selection, and device monitoring. The compact design and small dimensions facilitate integration into existing industrial communication and automation systems.
