MicroMod Teensy Processor is the main module of the MicroMod series. It is equipped with the NXP iMXRT1062 microcontroller known from the popular Teensy boards with the ARM Cortex-M7 core operating at a frequency of up to 600 MHz. The module is equipped with an M.2 connector, thanks to which it can work with expansion boards from the MicroMod series. It has four I2C buses, seven UARTs, two SPI, four CAN, 12 GPIO, dedicated digital, analog and PWM pins.
The "copy protected" version provides additional security that can be applied to commercial products and secure applications. The module uses the same chip as PJRC's "Lockable" Teensy processor. During compilation, the program is encrypted, and when run, the IMXRT bus encryption module provides decryption during program execution. MicroMod is an interface ecosystem that connects the main module to the processor or the microcontroller to various peripherals through expansion boards. Using the M.2 standard, MicroMod allows easy replacement of main modules.
