

Function module designed for MicroMod boards. It is equipped with the LTE/GNSS SARA-R5 module. The module has an M.2 connector and works with MicroMod Main Board (Single) and MicroMod Main Board (Double).
The board is equipped with the u-blox SARA-R510M8S module, which offers Secure Cloud LTE-M and NB-IoT communication, providing a 5G-enabled wireless IoT device. It also has an integrated u-blox M8 GNSS receiver ensuring accurate positioning information. The UBX-R5 supports many different forms of data communication, including TCP/IP, packet data, HTTP Get/Put/Post, FTP (the SARA module has a built-in file system), and traditional SMS text messaging. The built-in u‑blox M8 GNSS receiver provides accurate and reliable positioning with a separate GNSS antenna interface for the external antenna. Connections to the GNSS and LTE antenna are made using two u.FL connectors. The module is also equipped with a nano SIM card slot.
MicroMod is an interface ecosystem that connects the main module to the processor or the microcontroller to various peripherals through expansion boards. Using the M.2 standard, MicroMod allows easy replacement of main modules.
