Description

Prusament PEI 1010 Natural 500g (NFC) is a high-temperature engineering filament designed for industrial applications requiring exceptional mechanical, chemical, and thermal resistance. The material is based on polyetherimide (PEI), one of the strongest polymers used in 3D printing. Thanks to its properties, it is suitable for use in aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial components, where durable functional parts are required.

PEI 1010 offers excellent resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, and gamma radiation, while also being naturally flame-retardant. Its high strength-to-weight ratio allows the material to replace lightweight metal components such as aluminum in certain engineering applications.

Due to the extremely high printing temperatures required, the filament must be printed on industrial-grade 3D printers with a heated chamber (minimum 90°C). The material is also highly hygroscopic, therefore it must be dried before printing and stored in a sealed dry box during printing. Each spool produced by Prusa Research includes an NFC OpenPrintTag, enabling storage and automatic reading of material data.
