A specialized filament based on polycarbonate (PC) with carbon additives, designed for applications requiring ESD properties and very low outgassing. The material has a diameter of 1.75 mm and a net weight of 850 g, manufactured by Prusa Research with a guaranteed diameter tolerance of ±0.04 mm. This filament is intended for technical applications including space-related projects, electronics enclosures, and advanced engineering prototypes. The spool is equipped with an NFC OpenPrintTag, allowing automatic material recognition in compatible 3D printers. Prusa Research
Prusament PC Space Grade Black 850g (NFC) is a specialized engineering filament developed for applications in the space industry, electronics, and projects requiring electrostatic discharge control. The material is based on polycarbonate reinforced with carbon additives that provide ESD-safe properties and extremely low outgassing. This makes it suitable for components such as satellite parts, CubeSat modules, electronic device enclosures, and other precision technical applications.
The material meets strict European Space Agency (ESA) outgassing requirements. The measured Total Mass Loss (TML) is 0.25%, while Collected Volatile Condensable Material (CVCM) reaches 0.00%, allowing the filament to be used in vacuum environments and highly sensitive electronic systems.

The filament also offers strong mechanical performance, including 75 MPa tensile strength, 3.7 GPa tensile modulus, and a heat deflection temperature of 137.6°C. It provides good dimensional stability and can be printed on desktop 3D printers. Each spool produced by Prusa Research includes an NFC OpenPrintTag, enabling automatic material identification in compatible 3D printers.
