A DC-AC converter, also referred to as an inverter, is a device that converts a constant voltage (DC) to an alternating voltage (AC). It is used in situations where an alternating voltage is required, such as when connecting AC-powered equipment to a DC power source. The inverter has an input voltage of 12 VDC, which means it can be powered from a car battery, battery or other DC source of similar voltage. The output voltage can be 18 V, 220 V or 380 V AC (selectable via a jumper). The power of the inverter is 500 W. In addition, it is equipped with overload protection. This means that if the power consumed by the connected devices exceeds the maximum permissible values, the inverter automatically protects itself against damage. This protects both the inverter and the connected devices.
DC-AC inverters are used in a wide range of applications such as cars, campervans, boats, solar power, emergency power supply, as well as in many other situations where DC to AC voltage conversion is needed. They allow you to use AC equipment even when only DC voltage is available.
