28-pin ZIF socket dedicated to DIP packages. Allows multiple insertion of chips without the risk of damaging the pins. It has a small lever that needs to be moved to release or close the clamps. Used in projects where the IC is frequently removed or replaced. It will be used as part of a set for programming e.g. microcontrollers.
