Description

The BME680 is an integrated gas, pressure, temperature and humidity sensor in one MEMS housing. The system can be powered by 1.7-3.6 V. It is equipped with two communication interfaces: I2C and SPI. The BME680 has been developed specifically for mobile applications and wearables, where size and low energy consumption are key requirements. It consists of an 8-pin LGA housing with a metal lid, designed for optimal wear depending on the specific operating mode. The BME680 gas sensor can detect a wide range of gases to measure air quality. The gases that can be detected by BME680 include volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from inks (such as formaldehyde), varnishes, paint strippers, cleaners, furniture, office equipment, glues, adhesives and alcohol.
