Programmable radio module operating at 2.4 GHz. It is based on the Texas Instruments CC2511F32 microcontroller, which has an integrated radio transceiver, 32 KB of flash memory, 4 KB of RAM and a USB interface. The user has 15 general-purpose I / O lines at his disposal, including 6 analog inputs, timers with PWM outputs and USART and SPI interfaces based on the goldpin connector with a 2.54 mm pitch, which makes the module easy to use with breadboards and prototypes.
Thanks to the miniUSB connector, the module can be used both as an adapter to a computer and as a control board in a project that uses USB communication and wireless connectivity. Wixel will also work well as a wireless serial port, e.g. for debugging applications.
The module has a built-in USB bootloader that can be used in conjunction with the free Wixel Configuration Utility software to upload custom programs or precompiled open-source applications. Advanced users can also create their own dedicated programs. The necessary tools and code examples are available in the GitHub repository.
