Description

Compact development board designed for building energy-efficient IoT devices, wireless sensor nodes and automation systems. The Seeed Studio XIAO nRF54LM20A 100023651 features the Nordic nRF54LM20A SoC with a 128 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor and a 128 MHz RISC-V coprocessor. Memory resources include 512 KB RAM, 2 MB of non-volatile memory (NVM) and 8 MB of external Flash memory. The SoC supports Bluetooth LE 6.0 with Channel Sounding, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, Zigbee, Matter, Amazon Sidewalk, NFC and proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless protocols with data rates of up to 4 Mbps.

Power management is handled by the Nordic nPM1300 PMIC, providing voltage regulation and battery charging. Current consumption in System OFF mode is approximately 4.76 µA, decreasing to 0.33 µA in Ship Mode. The board features a USB Type-C connector, a 3.7 V battery input, an IPEX4 antenna connector, a user button, a Reset button and an RGB LED. It provides 28 GPIO lines, including analog inputs, as well as I2C, UART and SPI interfaces. Compact dimensions of 21 x 17.8 mm facilitate integration into small electronic devices.

Nordic nRF Connect SDK, Zephyr RTOS and PlatformIO provide development and testing environments, while Arduino IDE support through nrf54-arduino-core enables development using Arduino tools. Security features of the nRF54LM20A include secure boot, secure firmware updates, secure data storage, TrustZone and hardware-accelerated cryptographic operations. The board can be used in wearable devices, smart home systems, battery-powered sensors, Thread and Zigbee networks, and low-power IoT applications.
