Description

Industrial cellular modem designed to add 4G LTE connectivity to legacy equipment used in automation, alarm, telemetry, and M2M systems. Teltonika TRM142 supports 4G LTE Cat 4 FDD with download speeds up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds up to 50 Mbps, as well as LTE TDD with download speeds up to 130 Mbps and upload speeds up to 30 Mbps, while 3G and 2G compatibility enables operation in legacy cellular networks. The RS232 interface with RTS/CTS flow control and a DB9 connector allows controllers, alarm panels, terminals, and other serial devices to communicate over cellular networks. A virtual network interface via microUSB provides an additional data connection to a computer or host device.

The modem features a single Mini SIM slot and an SMA connector for an external cellular antenna. Power is supplied through an industrial 4-pin DC connector with a 9-30 VDC input range and protection against overvoltage, reverse polarity, and voltage surges. Power consumption remains below 1 W at idle and below 5 W at maximum load. The anodised aluminium housing, IP30 rating, and operating temperature range from -40°C to 75°C support deployment in industrial infrastructure upgrades where LTE connectivity needs to be added without replacing existing end devices.
