DAQ device based on Ethernet communication and equipped with 24 digital inputs/outputs and a counter input. Users can remotely access and configure the device with software over the Internet.
The module has 24 digital I/O lines configured as three 8-bit ports. Each bit is individually configurable as input or output. Users can enable the digital bit configured to change the exit state when the connection to the host is established or broken. Data can be transferred at up to 5kS/s when the device and host are connected via Ethernet to the same local area network, and the typical throughput depends on the system. All DIO lines are pulled up to 5V by default via 47kΩ resistors via three built-in jumpers - each jumper configures one 8-bit digital port and can be easily changed as a pull-down. Additionally, the user has at his disposal a 32-bit event counter that counts TTL pulses and processes signals with a frequency of up to 10 MHz.
Extensive software support includes DAQami - an optional out-of-the-box data capture, visualization and signal generation application. Data can be viewed in real time or after acquisition on user-configurable screens. Drivers for the most popular applications and programming languages are also included, including Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual Basic.NET, DASYLab, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Python.
