A versatile expander supported by the I2C interface, which significantly expands the capabilities of microcontrollers and microcomputers. It is based on the ATSAMD09 microcontroller and comes with default software that can be modified to suit the needs of the project. Adafruit 3657
ATSAMD09 Breakout is a unique and versatile expander supported by the I2C interface that significantly expands the capabilities of microcontrollers and microcomputers. This compact layout gives users access to a variety of features and peripherals, making it ideal for many applications.
The module is based on the ATSAMD09 microcontroller and comes with default software that provides numerous functions and interfaces via the I2C bus. Instead of using separate I2C expanders such as GPIO, ADC converter or PWM controller, it allows the use of one board configured to provide a wide range of functionality. What is worth emphasizing is that the system is flexible and can be reprogrammed and adapted to obtain a different configuration of peripheral systems. You can add or remove specific features depending on your design needs, which makes the module a powerful tool.
The default module configuration includes many useful features such as ADC analog-to-digital inputs, PWM outputs, selectable pull-up or pull-down GPIO pins, NeoPixel output support, EEPROM for data storage, interrupt signal, and much more. Additionally, it comes with several connectors, making it easy to integrate with other devices and systems. Thanks to such great flexibility, the expander allows you to create advanced projects and increase the capabilities of your microcontroller.
