Description
The device USB Type A Female Breakout by Soldered is a breakout board designed to provide convenient access to a female USB Type-A connector in custom electronic circuits. The board brings the four basic USB lines — VUSB, D+, D- and GND — to plated through-holes, providing easy access to both power and data connections.
The module simplifies adding a USB-A receptacle to a prototype without having to solder directly to the connector pins. The VUSB and GND lines can be used for power, while D+ and D- provide access to the USB differential data pair.
The breakout can be used for prototyping USB devices, building custom boards and creating test circuits. The plated through-holes allow wires or suitable pin headers to be connected depending on the required mounting method.
The board measures 22 × 22mm and features two mounting holes. The hardware design is open source, and the manufacturer provides design files and a pinout diagram.
