Arducam All-in-one Raspberry Pi AI Camera Kit is a compact image processing kit designed for artificial intelligence applications at the edge (Edge AI). The device integrates a 12.3 MP AI camera based on the Sony IMX500 sensor and a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 in a single enclosure, creating a complete platform for vision and analytical projects. By using Edge AI technology, image analysis is performed directly on the device, enabling immediate results without sending data to the cloud. This approach increases data privacy, reduces latency, and allows operation even in environments without Internet access.

The core of the system is the Sony IMX500 sensor, which integrates both image processing and AI computation directly within the chip. The camera offers a 12.3 megapixel resolution and high image quality, making it suitable for applications requiring precise visual analysis. The platform works with the Arducam AI Model Zoo and the Sony AITRIOS™ ecosystem, enabling quick deployment of ready-to-use artificial intelligence models such as object detection, image segmentation, or pose estimation. This significantly reduces the implementation time for computer vision projects.
The kit includes a built-in Raspberry Pi CM5 module powered by a Broadcom BCM2712 processor, with 4 GB RAM and 16 GB eMMC storage, providing high performance while maintaining a compact design. The device can be powered via USB-C or PoE, allowing flexible deployment in industrial and network environments. Additionally, an active cooling system with a fan improves heat dissipation and maintains stable operation even under intensive computational loads. The entire system is enclosed in a compact housing, making it easy to integrate with robots, surveillance systems, or IoT devices.

By combining a powerful AI camera, the Raspberry Pi platform, and a ready-to-use environment for running machine learning models, the Arducam kit provides a comprehensive solution for computer vision projects. The system can be used in applications such as security monitoring, industrial automation, intelligent transportation systems, motion analysis, and robotics projects. Its out-of-the-box readiness makes it an excellent choice for both engineers and research and development teams working on AI-based systems.
