Description

The INA3221 module is the perfect solution for those who need to monitor multiple power rails simultaneously. Instead of using several multimeters, you only need to connect the sensor board, which enables voltage and DC current measurements for three power sources via the I2C interface with an accuracy of ±1%. The INA3221 module allows measurements for voltages up to +26 VDC while being powered by a 3V or 5V system, making it ideal for battery life monitoring or solar panels.

The precise amplifier measures voltage on the built-in 0.05Ω (1%) shunt resistors, allowing for current measurements up to ±3.2A. With the 13-bit ADC, the resolution for measurements in this range is 0.4 mA. Advanced users can replace the shunt resistor to adjust the measurement range—for example, using a 0.01Ω resistor allows measuring currents up to 16.4A with a resolution of 2 mA.

Usage is very simple—just connect the module to a power source from 3 to 5VDC, connect the I2C pins to the microcontroller, and connect the monitored sources to the VIN1/2/3+ inputs, while connecting the loads to VIN1/2/3-. There is also the option to configure overcurrent warning outputs.
