Description

RPi-Zero2W-PhotoPainter is a complete PhotoPainter display kit designed for use with Raspberry Pi Zero series boards, including Raspberry Pi Zero 2 WHC. The construction combines a full-color E-Paper display based on E Ink Spectra 6 technology with a solid wooden photo frame, providing an elegant and functional solution for displaying static graphic and informational content with very low power consumption.

The E-Paper display operates in a passively reflective mode, requires no backlight, and retains the displayed image even after power is removed, significantly reducing energy usage. The integrated UPS circuit allows simultaneous battery charging and system power supply, and automatically switches to battery operation in the event of external power loss, ensuring uninterrupted operation.

An onboard high-precision DS3231 real-time clock, together with power monitoring via the I2C bus, enables accurate time management, monitoring of voltage, current, and battery level, as well as safe system shutdown in autonomous applications. The kit is suitable for digital photo frames, calendars, schedules, information boards, and IoT displays where high readability, no blue light emission, and ultra-long standby time are required.
