The book contains information about the structure, CPU architecture, assembler language, software and hardware tools and programming techniques of the ST7LITE family of microcontrollers. They are microcontrollers characterized by legendary immunity to EMC interference, which makes them difficult to replace in many applications.

Because the best way to get to know new microcontrollers are independent experiments, the book includes exercises illustrating their capabilities, to which the programs were written in assembler. All the exercises have been verified in the ZL1ST7 starter set working with the ICP ZL17PRG programmer and free utility software provided by STMicroelectronics. Descriptions of both devices are included in the book.
