Description

Development kit with ESP32 module and LoRa communication. It features an integrated ESP32-C3 chip with a 32-bit RISC-V core processor that operates at up to 160MHz. It comes with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi communication and supports Station Mode, SoftAP Mode, SoftAP Mode. It runs in ultra-low power mode, also supporting Bluetooth 5 and Bluetooth Mesh. The chip has 400 kB of SRAM and 4 MB of Flash. The kit uses the Wio-E5 STM32WLE5JC module as a long-range controller that supports the LoRa protocol in the global frequency band with a transmission range of up to 10 km.

An important element of the set are two CAN interfaces. The CAN bus (Controller Area Network) is used to enable microcontrollers and devices to communicate with each other in networks used e.g. in vehicles, which allows for control and data collection. These devices are also called electronic control units (ECU) and enable communication between all parts of the vehicle. CAN is a serial communication bus designed for industrial and automotive applications.

The board provides a rich set of interfaces, including Grove connectors for connecting sensors and modules. It is designed according to industry standards with a wide operating temperature ranging from -40℃ to 85℃ and an output power of up to +20.8dBm at 3.3V.
