Description

FeatherS3 Neo is a modern, fully functional development board based on a dual-core 32-bit 240 MHz processor, designed for projects requiring high computing power, low energy consumption, and rich functionality. With an integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi module (802.11b/g/n) and a high-performance 3D antenna, FeatherS3 Neo enables stable and fast wireless communication across a wide range of applications—from Internet of Things (IoT) projects and home automation to educational solutions and prototyping.

The board is equipped with 8 MB SPI Flash memory and 2 MB additional PSRAM, providing ample space for data and smooth handling of complex applications. An innovative feature is the built-in 7×7 RGB LED matrix, capable of displaying text, icons, lighting effects, and animations—perfect for visualizing status or creating impressive interfaces. The matrix has its own 3.3 V regulator, which automatically disconnects power during deep sleep mode, significantly reducing power consumption. Additionally, LED power can be controlled programmatically via pin IO39.

FeatherS3 Neo features 22 GPIO pins and a QWIIC/STEMMA connector for easy sensor and module connections without soldering. The board includes a LiPo battery management system, two 3.3 V regulators (700 mA each), and USB-C port protection. Built-in LEDs Power (red), Charge (orange), and IO13 (blue) help monitor power status, while the VBAT sensor on IO2 and VBUS detection on IO15 enable intelligent power management. FeatherS3 Neo is fully Feather standard compatible, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of accessories and expansion modules. It supports popular development environments such as ESP-IDF, MicroPython, Arduino, and PlatformIO, making it suitable for both professionals and electronics enthusiasts.
