Description

XIAO Vision AI Camera is an intelligent and compact vision solution that combines the Grove Vision AI V2 module, XIAO ESP32-C3 controller, and OV5647 camera, all enclosed in an elegant 3D-printed housing. At its core lies the powerful Himax WiseEye2 platform featuring a dual-core Arm Cortex-M55 processor and Ethos-U55 neural processing unit, enabling efficient edge AI computing directly on the device.

The camera supports popular frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, and offers full compatibility with Arduino IDE, making it an ideal tool for both beginners and advanced developers. Through the SenseCraft AI platform, models can be deployed without coding — users can choose from ready-made models (e.g., YOLO v5/v8, EfficientNet-Lite, MobileNet V1/V2) or train their own datasets, with inference results visualized in real time via a web browser. The integrated Wi-Fi module (ESP32-C3) allows wireless transmission of detection results and integration with Home Assistant, enabling the creation of smart home and industrial automation systems. The camera also supports local automation scenarios — once a model is deployed and connected to Home Assistant, actions can be triggered based on detected objects or events, such as notifications or device responses. The project is fully open-source — schematics, design files, and source codes are available, allowing customization to specific hardware needs.
