The GPRS8000-S module enables the integration of cellular connectivity in embedded projects based on Embest development boards. It offers support for data transmission, SMS, and voice calls in GSM/GPRS networks with a wide range of communication interfaces.
Description
The GPRS8000-S module is designed to work with Embest development boards, such as the Devkit8000 with the OMAP3530 processor. It enables GPRS data transmission and GSM calls using a UART interface. It supports AT commands compliant with GSM 07.07, 07.05, and SIMCom extensions, as well as SMS messaging and voice calls. Designed for operation in a wide temperature range and powered by 3.4–4.5 V. The module’s construction includes a SIM card slot, antenna connector, audio input and output, reset button, and extension connector.
