Quectel M72 is a compact GSM/GPRS module designed for M2M and IoT applications requiring reliable communication over 2G networks. Its LCC surface-mount design and low power consumption make it suitable for devices operating in continuous or battery-powered modes.
Description
The Quectel M72 communication module enables data transmission and SMS messaging over GSM 2G networks. It operates in GSM 900 and GSM 1800 bands and supports GPRS class 12 data transfer with a maximum throughput of up to 85.6 kbps. The LCC package allows surface-mount installation in automated SMT production, making it suitable for mass deployment in IoT devices, telemetry systems, and industrial automation.
It features a standard UART interface for AT command communication, as well as I2C EEPROM and SIM card support for 1.8 V / 3.0 V cards. The module supports TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP, USSD, and PDU services. Powered by a nominal 4.0 V supply, it operates across a wide temperature range from –40°C to +85°C.
