The kit converts the 180 degree rotary motion of a servo into linear motion. It is ideal for use in projects requiring horizontal or vertical motion. It consists of a 5 mm thick transparent blue plate with mounting holes and an FS90 servo. Kitronik 2595
The Linear Actuator Kit is a set that transforms the 180-degree rotational motion of a servo into back-and-forth linear movement. It can be mounted in a project to provide either horizontal or vertical motion. The actuator is made from a 5 mm thick transparent blue plate. It includes various mounting holes at the ends of the rail, including a 3 mm hole, a 3 mm square, and standard servo mounting holes, which allow securing a 1 mm diameter wire. The rail has a stroke of approximately 20 mm, and the gear ratio is 2:3. The maximum torque of the included servo is 1.5 kg/cm at 6V and 1.3 kg/cm at 4.8V.
Linear actuators have wide-ranging applications, including robotics, automated button switching, steering control in models, model railway switches, diorama animation, and many others. They are also widely used in industry and consumer products, such as valves, cam mechanisms, optical drive mechanisms, and floppy disk drives.
