Description
Glideforce LACT8P-12V is a lightweight yet robust 12 V DC linear actuator designed for precise applications requiring controlled linear motion. This model offers a nominal stroke of 20 cm (7.8″), making it ideal for automation, robotics, DIY projects, and moderate-duty industrial applications. Thanks to its 5:1 gear ratio, the actuator can lift dynamic loads up to 15 kgf while also withstanding very high static loads when unpowered. Integrated limit switches automatically stop motion at the ends of the stroke, enhancing safety and simplifying control. The built-in feedback potentiometer allows accurate position monitoring of the actuator, enabling advanced position control. The actuator operates smoothly and quietly with speeds up to 43.9 mm/s unloaded. Its aluminum construction and IP65-rated sealed housing provide resistance to dust and moisture, making it suitable for challenging environments. When power is disconnected, the rod maintains its position, which is crucial for applications requiring stability. Glideforce linear actuators with feedback work seamlessly with Jrk G2 motor controllers, allowing precise position control via the built-in potentiometer. The Jrk G2 21v3 is particularly recommended for most light-duty applications, while for near-maximum loads, the Jrk G2 24v13 is suggested. Pre-configured files greatly simplify system setup, eliminating the need for manual PID tuning. Once the actuator is connected and the settings uploaded, smooth and accurate position control along the full stroke is achievable. For best precision, feedback calibration according to the Jrk G2 documentation is recommended.
