This Raspberry Pi module allows you to control three HUB75 panels simultaneously, ideal for building color LED displays and animated boards. It features 3.3V–5V logic level converters for stable operation and a fully assembled, solderless design. It supports panels with resolutions up to 64x64 and works with the rpi-rgb-matrix and PIO Matrix Driver libraries. Adafruit 6358
Triple LED Matrix Bonnet is an advanced add-on board designed for creating impressive, colorful LED displays based on HUB75 matrices. This module connects directly to a Raspberry Pi via a 40-pin GPIO header, making installation quick and straightforward. It allows control of three parallel RGB panels, enabling the construction of large and dynamic light installations such as LED walls, information boards, or decorative animations. Compared to the single version, the Triple Bonnet offers significantly higher performance, handling roughly three times as many pixels. Note that a separate 5V high-current power supply (minimum 10A) is required. The board includes built-in logic level shifters that convert 3.3V signals to 5V, ensuring stable, noise-free matrix operation. With its compact, fully assembled design, no soldering is required—just connect the IDC cables and power up the panels.

The bonnet is compatible with many Raspberry Pi models, including Zero, A+, B+, 2, 3, 4, and 5. For the Pi Zero, soldering a header may be necessary, while the Pi 4 and Pi 5 deliver the best performance. The module supports popular driver libraries such as rpi-rgb-matrix (for Pi 0–4) and the PIO driver (for Pi 5), allowing users to easily create animations in Python or C. It supports HUB75 panels with resolutions of 16×32, 32×32, 32×64, and 64×64, with the option to chain multiple panels for a longer display. A built-in switch allows selection of address pin configurations for 64×64 panels. With this bonnet, you can easily build large-scale, professional LED installations.
