Portable communication terminal for Meshtastic networks, equipped with an ESP32-S3, Semtech LR1110 LoRa transceiver, 2.4" color LCD and physical QWERTY keyboard. It supports the EU868 band, 2.4 GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GNSS positioning using GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS. A built-in 2300 mAh Li-Po battery, 16 GB of storage and preinstalled Meshtastic firmware allow standalone operation without a smartphone. Elecrow ThinkNode M9 Meshtastic EU868
The portable ThinkNode M9 communication terminal from Elecrow is designed for standalone communication in decentralized Meshtastic networks using LoRa in the EU868 band. Its phone-like form factor integrates radio communication, a display, keyboard and positioning system, allowing messages to be sent and received and location data to be shared without connecting an external smartphone. The device uses an ESP32-S3R8 microcontroller with a dual-core 32-bit Xtensa LX7 processor running at up to 240 MHz and a Semtech LR1110 transceiver. Memory resources include 512 kB SRAM, 8 MB PSRAM and 384 kB ROM, while the built-in memory card provides 16 GB of storage.
The preinstalled Meshtastic firmware enables connection to the mesh network after the device starts. The terminal can send and receive messages and share location data without requiring a smartphone connection. Long-range communication is handled by the Semtech LR1110 with a built-in LoRa antenna, while the European version operates in the EU868 band.
The ESP32-S3 also provides 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy / Bluetooth 5.0. ThinkNode M9 can be configured through the MUI interface and mobile app, while the manufacturer also specifies support for MicroPython, C/C++, ESP-IDF, Arduino IDE and the LVGL library.

The 2.4" color TFT-TN LCD with a resolution of 240 x 320 px provides access to the Meshtastic interface, messages and device functions without requiring an additional display. Panel brightness reaches 200 cd/m². The display does not support touch control, so navigation is performed using physical controls.
Direct access to Meshtastic from the terminal allows messages, network status and location information to be checked without using a smartphone.
A 37-key QWERTY keyboard is used for entering messages and is complemented by a function area, navigation buttons and shortcuts to selected functions. The design also includes a GPS button, power switch, hidden Reset button and buzzer providing audible alerts and feedback during operation.
The built-in positioning module supports simultaneous analysis of BeiDou, GPS, Galileo and GLONASS signals and real-time route tracking. The ceramic GNSS antenna enables positioning functions without connecting an external antenna.
The magnetic compass sensor determines the user's orientation in real time, complementing GNSS data during navigation and field operation.

Power is supplied by a built-in 2300 mAh, 3.8 V lithium-polymer battery with protection against conditions including over-discharge and overcharging. The manufacturer specifies approximately 2-3 days of standby operation.
Charging is performed through the USB Type-C port, which also operates as a USB 2.0 Full-Speed interface for programming the device.
The plastic enclosure measures 126 x 67 x 10.3 mm, while the net weight is 123 g. Built-in LoRa, WiFi/Bluetooth and GNSS antennas reduce the need for protruding external components. The terminal can operate at temperatures from -10°C to 60°C and relative humidity from 10% to 90% without condensation. ThinkNode M9 can be used during outdoor expeditions, emergency communication, work in remote locations and the creation of private communication networks. Meshtastic enables communication between users within the range of the created mesh network without relying on cellular infrastructure.
