Educational kit with the Arduino Nano 33 IoT base board designed for learning the basics of mechatronics and programming in the MATLAB and Simulink environment. It includes the necessary components and software, making it ideal for distance learning, home teaching and self-study. Lessons on creating, designing and programming three projects (an example is available on the Arduino website) have been prepared to help students learn basic engineering concepts.
The kit includes all the necessary components to work for up to three students, including one Nano 33 IoT board, Nano Motor Carrier module with IMU and charger, battery, motors and a webcam. All components are packed in a sturdy tool box perfect for storage and long use.
The user has access to an online platform with 3 lessons and 3 comprehensive projects - a drawing robot, a webcam-controlled rover and a self-balancing motorcycle. The online content includes step-by-step guidance to enable students to collaborate in small groups or learn remotely, and can be adapted by teachers to suit different curricula. All teaching materials are developed by the Arduino Education team in collaboration with MathWorks.
By working with the kit, students learn to use the same tools as industry professionals. The Arduino engineering kit covers the key concepts of MATLAB and Simulink programming, including model-driven design, control systems, image and signal processing. Each kit includes a 1-year individual trial license for MATLAB and Simulink.
