Six-wheeled mobile robot chassis designed for projects that require driving on demanding terrain. It uses a driver based on ESP32 and a set of IMU sensors. It can be easily expanded with additional elements, e.g. a robotic arm, camera or LIDAR. Waveshare UGV02 (EU)
UGV02 is a mobile robot chassis with 6 wheels (including 4 driven by DC motors), which is characterized by excellent ability to overcome terrain obstacles. The six-wheel design increases the contact area with the ground and payload. The chassis uses flexible rubber tires, which greatly reduces the impact of complex terrain, and can easily meet the needs of off-road driving. It is also equipped with rails made of aluminum profiles, which provides more possibilities for project development.
The built-in robot control module (based on ESP32 communication with WiFi and Bluetooth) provides control of servos using a serial bus, PWM signal and the ability to expand the functionality with a microSD card slot. It is equipped with a 0.91" OLED display and a 9-axis IMU sensor.
The robot supports multiple host computers (Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, Jetson Orin Nano, etc.), which can communicate with the ESP32 slave computer through the serial port.
The UPS 3S power module supports 3 Li-Ion 18650 batteries and provides stable power to the robot. The manufacturer provides open source code, which enables easy development of the project. Full documentation with numerous examples is available on the product page.
